My approach combines technical precision, strategic planning, and a strong commitment to delivering results on time and within budget.

Lead Project Manager
As Lead Project Manager, Michelle oversees projects across the Western U.S. territory, ensuring every detail—from concept to completion—is handled with precision and care. With 9 years of experience in the lighting industry, Michelle brings a strong background in both decorative and commercial lighting, allowing for versatile, design-forward solutions tailored to each client’s needs.
Certified by the American Lighting Association (ALA), Michelle is committed to delivering results that are not only technically sound but also visually compelling. Known for a hands-on approach and strong communication skills, she serves as a key liaison between clients, design teams, and manufacturing partners.

Dan focuses on engineering and design specifications that meet or exceed environmental and energy performance standards, leading in both aesthetics and efficiency. He is heavily invested in research and development, offering sustainable solutions to the ever-evolving lighting industry.

Derek Applegate is a seasoned executive with over 30 years of experience in the hospitality and design industry. As current President of Lux Procure and Better Design Lighting, Derek leads the charge in design, product development, styling, branding, and oversees key operational areas including factory and vendor relationships, shipping logistics, and project management.
Throughout his career, Derek has held leadership roles in sales and product development at renowned companies such as Troy Lighting, Minka-Lavery, and Foundry Lighting. His extensive industry expertise and sharp eye for innovation have consistently driven product excellence and business growth across every organization he’s been part of.
